How Do I use This Site?

There are two ways to use this site. You can use this site for free by finding the form you want and filling it out manually. Or you can fill out the form online -- in most cases for a few dollars. Filling out forms online can be a huge timesaver. Once you've input the data, you immediately download the completed forms in RTF format. Probably, all you'll have to do is print it, but you should read through it and make any final changes.

  What is 'RTF' format?

RTF is short for Rich Text Format, which is a file format that works with almost any word processor. Microsoft Word, Microsoft Works, WordPad, WordPerfect, and StarOffice are just a few word processors that will read RTF files. RTF format is used because it is compatible with almost any word processor. In fact, your computer will probably figure out what to do with the documents for you -- just double click it to find out.

Where can I get help with child support?

There are many places that will offer free advice, or advice for a fee. For a list of attorneys and mediators click on links.

What if I use a Macintosh?

RTF files are compatible with most Macintosh word processors. Microsoft Word and WordPerfect are two examples of word processors that will open RTF files on Macs; there are many others. If you're not sure, drag the downloaded file onto your word processor icon to see if it will open it. In some cases you may have to run you word processor, select "Open" from the file menu, and then select the file to open it.

  What about viruses?

We scan all of our files for viruses with the latest scanning software available. All of our files are know to be virus free.
